Jonathan Truss sketches great white sharks ‘Live’
As you know, I consider Jonathan to be the greatest wildlife artist alive today. Well let’s hope he continues to stay alive as he has recently been off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa actually drawing and sketching great white sharks live from a cage.
When Jonathan first told me of this I thought he was mad. However, as it turned out it was one of the most exhilarating experiences he could have ever imagined. A couple of times during the dive the monster shark came within 6 inches of Jonathan’s face exhibiting its array of razor sharp teeth. Jonathan said, “The adrenaline rush that I experienced was unimaginable and indescribable to anybody that has never been that close to the ocean’s top predator in its own environment. Having said that, I can’t wait to do it again“.
The sketches Jonathan made will form the base framework of some of his new oil paintings.
Jonathan’s work continues to be one of the best investments you can make within the struggling art industry today. For more information, check out Jonathan’s website.
